Parent Behaviour Policy

PARENT BEHAVIOUR POLICY

Ultimate Activity Camps work extremely hard to provide the best for all children and our priority is to ensure that children’s welfare is safeguarded. We also have a duty to protect the welfare of our camp and office staff, and as part of this we have a Parent Behaviour Policy to ensure that communications and interactions between parents and staff is respectful, cooperative and without any form of harassment. We expect good behaviour from the children in our care and this expectation extends to parents.

To that end, this Parent Behaviour Policy outlines the behaviour expectations we have of parents, and the steps we may take if a parent’s behaviour falls outside of these expectations.

We expect parents/carers and visitors to:

  • Collaborate with our staff in the best interests of all children in our care
  • To treat all staff, children and other parents with respect – setting a good example with speech, appropriate language and behaviour
  • Support our staff to correct their own child’s behaviour (or those in their care), where it could lead to unsafe behaviour or harm to other children

Parent behaviour that will not be tolerated:

  • Disrupting, or threatening to disrupt camp operations
  • Swearing, or using offensive language
  • Any aggressive behaviour (including verbally or in writing) towards members of staff, children or other parents/carers
  • Threatening any member of staff, parent or child, including any form of harrassment
  • Approaching someone else’s child or an adult in order to discuss or chastise them because of the actions of a child towards their own child.
  • Posting defamatory, offensive or derogatory comments about Ultimate Activity Camps, its staff or named parents on any social media or web-based platform
  • Smoking and consumption of alcohol or other drugs whilst on school property
  • Bringing dogs onto the school premises (other than guide/service dogs)
  • Filming or photographing within or of the school grounds

Outcomes of unacceptable behaviour:

Should any of the above behaviour occur on any of our school premises, via telephone or in writing to our office team, Ultimate Activity Camps may:

  • Ban a parent from entering the school grounds
  • Cancel the remainder of their booking with immediate effect
  • Block the parent from making future bookings
  • Inform relevant authorities if appropriate

We trust that parents and carers will assist Ultimate Activity Camps with the implementation of this policy so we can keep our camps a positive, safe and fun place for children and staff to spend their holidays.
